Our Triplets

Okay, everyone. I know you've been eagerly awaiting an update on our babies. For those of you who are new to my blog, our Granddaughter, Sarah, had triplets on November 20th. Konner, and identicals, Kyleigh and Kennedy. They all weighed in the 3 lb. range. They were born in Clarksville, Tennessee and then transported to Nashville to the NICU there.
We went to see them a week or so after they were born and here is the proud great Grandmama holding one of the little ones.

Here are a few more pictures.

They are just so much alike, their Mother can't tell them apart even.  She keeps pink fingernail polish on Kyleigh's thumb for now, hoping when they're a little older something will differentiate them.

Couldn't resist adding this picture.  It's my daughter, Donna, giving Kyleigh her first bottle. Look at that tiny little head, about the size of an apple and those big eyes taking it all in. So sweet!

The picture in the overalls is the latest we've gotten.  Konner weighs a whopping 15 lbs. and the girls almost 13lbs.  We went back to see them right after they came home from the hospital and they are just so cute.  Don't you agree?

Can't wait to see them again.

Over 40 Hop!

Be sure and link up with Java at her blog Never Grow Old!

Have a great Friday everyone!

Want to Know More!

This is a cute "get to know better" blog over at http://dollycas.blogspot.com/ so hop on over and enjoy the fun.  Here are this week's questions:

1. Are you a bath or shower person?
I love taking hot soaking baths, however, I mostly take showers.  There's a big deep whirlpool tub in Debra's bathroom and I tried it once, the key word here is "once!"  I thought hubs was going to have to call a man with a crane to get me out of that tub. Never again.  Besides I have to wash my hair and I can't do that while sitting in a tub, right!

2.  Do you bathe/shower in the morning or at night?
I usually shower in the morning, however, after a long, hot, sweaty day in the summer, I'll take a shower before bed.

3. Do you have a hot tub or swimming pool?
Would love to have either one.

Have a great week, everyone!

Springtime

Nothing says Springtime quite like a preschool spring play.  My little grandson, Quinn, is the little redheaded guy, for those of you who haven't read my earlier posts.  His preschool had the cutest little play right before spring break called "Creep Crawlers!"  He played the part of an orange, don't ask me what that had to do with creepy crawlers, cuz I don't know.  His mom and I wondered if they chose him for the part of an orange for his hair color, just wonderin!
He was so shy at first, but after a couple of songs and a few minutes, he became a ham. The teachers do an amazing job with those little ones.  What a fun way to spend an afternoon!
(Sorry these are blurred, I still haven't figured out how to use my new camera.)

One proud Grandmama

Monday

Questions:
1.  Crunchy or soft tacos?
Gosh, a tough question, I like both, Mexican food of any sort being my favorite, but I guess I would have to saaaaayyyy, crunchy.

2.  Do you  scrapbook?
I've made one scrapbook and that was for our 50th Wedding Anniversary.  I think it turned out really well, but I just didn't  get into it after that.

3.  Do you take any daily medications?
Oh my goodness, I should say so.  I hate having to take it but would certainly not like the alternative.
Some of the things I take are for high blood pressure, hormones and anti-depressants (this one so I can maintain my sweet personality instead of the evil one).  And, I must not forget the ever needed baby aspirin (my son is a cardiologist).

4.  What is your favorite sound?
I love to hear a baby giggle and I love to hear a champagne cork pop, cuz with the latter, there is bound to be a party.

5.  Where were you born?
I was born in Louisiana, in Shreveport to be exact, at home.  I was born before they had hospitals, just kidding, but my parents chose for me, their 5th child, and only girl, to be born at home.  Shreveport is in the deep south, lots of pine trees, azaleas in the spring and of course, lots of water, its on the Red River and has lots of hunting and fishing in the area.

The pin marks the spot!

Have a great week everyone and don't forget to comment.

Dilemma

Another delemma about what to write.  I spend so much time reading your blogs that it doesn't leave me much time to write here.  And, sometimes my excuse is, I just don't know what to write.  I am always doing projects,  but somehow don't remember to take pictures.  That's one big fault, but then if I do remember, its always after they are finished are at least almost finished.

Its been a cold and blustery weekend here in OKC.  We had hoped to begin our spring yard work, however, the dreariness and wind just lends to sitting inside and watching March Madness. Hope you had or are having a great weekend and wish you a great week ahead.

Blog Hop

Lori over at http://dollycas.blogspot.com/ has a bloghop that I just found.  I think its going  to be fun, so I am going to participate.  She offers three questions for us to answer, so we can get to know each other better out here in the world of Blog.
Here are this week's questions.

1. Have you ever traveled outside of the United States?
Oh yes, I've been fortunate to go to so many places.  In Asia, we lived in the Philippines for 3 years, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.  In Europe, Italy, France, Austria, etc.,,,.  England, Ireland, Canada, Mexico.

2.  If you could pack up today on a vacation and money was no issue where would you go?
I would love to go to Australia and New Zealand.  Of course, a month or two in Italy would be nice too.

3. Is there somewhere in the United States that you have never been that you would like to visit?
I would like to go to some of the beaches in North Carolina.  I've been to the Outer Banks but would like to see Myrtle Beach.

Japan

Mother Nature had her way with Japan while we slept. How sad, and the people must have been so frightened. I can't even begin to imagine how you feel with one of those monster waves coming toward you. During the Viet Nam war, we lived in the Philippines and lived through several major earthquakes, one registering 7.6 on the rector scale, and we were 100 miles from the epicenter. I can just remember how terrified I was. Those islands in the Pacific are just sitting ducks for those tsunamias, so it seems.

I feel for these people and pray for their recovery.

New Computer

I got my new laptop yesterday and wow it is so much different than the old one.  It is definitely going to take some getting used to.  I will try to post tomorrow and add some pictures.  So far, picture transferring has been a real challenge.   Bear with me, I’ll get this figured out.  Won’t I ?

CRASH!!!

Well remember when I told you I was having computer problems,  my laptop gave up and out.  Did you hear it go down in flames?  You probably did, but just didn't know what it was.  I should have my new one sometime next week.  Until then, I just grabbed Debra's while she was watching a movie.  I probably won't be back until the new one is set up.

In the meantime, enjoy warmer days and spring is on its way, even here in Oklahoma, although, no green grass as yet, however, trees have that green shimmer.

Have a great week everyone!
